Many accepted techniques in Japanese animation and comics present themselves from Japanese legends, and history. Many times, extraordinary episodes of Japanese history are repeated. Sometimes subtle references are made that the uncertain will miss altogether. Educate yourself about Japanese calligraphers and painters. Find out what makes Japanese painters tick and how they create their art history. Even read a children's Manga book, it is a great way to learn the Manga basics. No Smudges! Wash your hands. You may even want to use cotton gloves when drawing Manga. This well prevent the paper from getting messy from the oils on your hands. You can also keep a separate sheet of paper tucked neatly under your hand to soak up the oils. No Specks! Do you want to avoid picking up tiny spots of color from dark areas of your creation?, If you are using colored pencils, you should start by making streaks or spots through the lighter areas. Continue working from light-to-dark, creating highlights and pale skin tones at the beginning. You can then add the shadows and darker shades at the end. A soft brush will allow you to flick away any loose colored pencil particles. 
Adding New Colors! Ensure that previous layers have dried before starting any new color. This is especially important if you need to avoid blending. This same approach can be used if drawing Manga with a felt pen for coloring your manga art. Pencil lines! One of the issues you may encounter is pencil lines. Sometimes a graphite pencil can begin smudging into your other colors. This can be remedied if you use a reasonably hard pencil. Just draw as lightly as possible, and you will be able to remove the excess graphite with a simple eraser. Once you have you've colored the drawing, you may want to re-do line-work. Draw hands in different positions both holding objects and posing in different ways.Make notes so you know why one character is unique from the others.
