Devices are in situations that the characters are routinely in. For example, Charlie Brown and his friends are often playing baseball or football. Snoopy lies on the dog house dreaming of being The Red Baron. Gags and Jokes! Gags and jokes are essential in all comic books. The types of gags and jokes that you use in your comic book will depend on the characters and the story that it tells.
